No Longer Lost

How Could Jesus
Love someone like me?
This is was
One and only plea

How could he love me?
Someone that is so hurt?
Someone who hates everyone
And treats them all like dirt?

How could Jesus love me
This is what I want to know
I want someone to tell me
And let his love show

Along came a couple
A guy and a girl
And taught me about God's love
And that i was welcome in his world

It didn't matter how much
I had been hurt
Didn't matter how many people
I had treated like dirt

He cared about me
And wanted me to be his
And wanted me to
Forever be in bliss

I decided
I had nothing to lose
And not my will
But God's i will choose

So now I am
No longer lost
And I'm a whole person
And not just a ghost.

    WOW ..First I would like to say Congrats on coming to God hun...I also am Like you I am a believer and have wrote a few poems like this myself..God loves everyone no matter if they sin or not...That's why he died for us and it just shocked me when you said I can't believe God loves me..I am so grateful another person has went to Jesus in this world! I just love seeing that!! NOw its people like you and me have to spread the word that God is real and is coming back!
    I do agree with you something is missing but I can't put my finger on it either...I hope you find it sorry I'm no help...AMAZING JOB!

    Hmm.. I feel as if there is something missing in this poem. A key thing but I can't grasp what. I don't know maybe you'll see it too. Good work though on everything else.
