Forlorn Hopes

by Pauly D.   Jan 5, 2005

You used to be the life of me,
And everything between.
Now you're just a fallacy,
A fragment of a dream.

Vivacious motions eminated bright,
The more you let them go.
But ponderous actions cloaked the light,
And pulled the mirth below.

Abstract thoughts that passed the time,
Were'nt without their shame.
For they were doused with dim, false hopes,
As life began to wane.

I must preclude, move on again,
And take back what was mine
Before I think to way back when,
You used to brightly shine.
