a place to hide

Each part of me says something
Each different scar another story
But the scar that will stay forever cannot be seen
For it is in the only place people cannot see
It is the only place people can’t read me

I want to tell you so bad
But something inside me says no
Maybe I think things will change for the better
But deep down I know they never will

My heart cries out for help
But my mind says to keep it to my self
My soul is aching
And my body can’t take much more

What I’ve gone through is different
For some reason I think I’m alone
But I know I’m not

I thought I would forget it
Then I thought it was just a dream
But it happened again
There’s only one place I would turn too or hide
And that was my heart
The only place that is only me
