Saw you once.

I never knew you granddad, why did you die so young?
I've heard all about you, you were talented and so much fun,

Artwork, poetry thats all you did, I want to know you better,
From anything from an old recording, a picture or a letter,

You was not all good though, soon as you touched the beer...
You changed, for the worst, hitting my mum, kept her in fear.

People would despise you but now, I wanted to help you overcome your drink,
Make you realize, to make you think...

I never had that chance granddad, you also smoked....
Smoked allot cancer had got you.....you croaked.

Even though i do not know the whole story, I've looked at your picture the stare in your face cold and solemn
I may visit your grave sometime, brush the weeds aside place flowers enriched in pollen.

I sometimes I don't know what to think granddad when i die, i'll you soon.
I'll make you realize and help you reform........ make you bloom.
