It’s Not the Same

by Emily   Jan 6, 2005

Sorry i didnt really know where to put this one....

We miss you son, it’s just not the same.
We hear about the death and to our knees we fall,
Praying you will be safely returned to us.
We are proud of you son, for protecting many people
Who you do not know. We send our love son, please, be strong,
Be safe, be brave.

We miss you friend, it’s just not the same.
We watch the news and our hearts just sink.
We fear for you friend, we miss the jokes, the
Laughs, the tears. We send our love friend, our prayers
Are with you, where ever you may be.

I miss you my dearest love, it’s just not the same.
I gaze at the ceiling in our empty room, it
Seems so cold without you here. I wish you
Well my dearest love, I know you’re fighting
For what is right. I send my love to you,
My dearest love, my life is on hold, waiting for you.

I thank you stranger, I know it’s not the same.
It has to be hard, being so far from home. I cry
For you stranger, I wish I could repay you for keeping
Me safe. I send my love stranger, you mean more
To me than words can explain. Thank you stranger,
For your service.

This is written for all the Military personal that are stationed over seas. I want to personally thank you for protecting me and my country. I can never thank you enough.
