Deep Within

by Rebecca   Jan 7, 2005

Deep within this body
there is a soul colored
in black and covered
with cob webs.

Deep behind this
smile lies a
thousand
frowns.

Deep inside this
mind are thoughts
of you playing over
and over like a broken film.

Deep within are a million
pieces to a shattered heart,
that you broke with all of your
lies and stupid promises.

You would never be
able to tell with just
a glance, but all of
this lies deep within.
