Not so different

They say our hearts are individual,
And that none are quite the same.
They say that everyone’s unique
And not all can play the game.

Some fall in love too quickly
While others take a while,
And some just never get around to it
Convinced it’s not their style.

Some find love completely
And wouldn’t change a thing
While others lose all confidence
And never try again.

With me, well I’m selective
Hanging out for just that one
And then I try so very hard
To see it come undone.

Yes I guess I try too hard
I want it all too much
I want a love forever
I attack it with a rush.

I wish that I were different,
I wish I didn’t care,
I wish that someone loved me too
Our hearts together shared.

I hate this sad and loneliness
I hate the pain I feel
I want someone to share my life
I want a life that’s real.
