Black Crow

by Ixora   Jan 7, 2005

The sun shines on the black crow
as it reminds her of whats true
tells her of her imperial task
and sees that she follows through

the task is easy enough
but the crow persists to stay
it was once a part of her
but now has gone away

yet still it represents
the girl insane from life
the black feathers match her soul
both eyes filled with strife

the pain could not be bared alone
so the crow stays by her side
luring her from her shadowed corner
where she had stayed to hide

the wise crow speaks to her enchantingly
it tells her she must go
she persisted on denying suicide
all because of a black crow
