Death From Love

by wayne t   Jan 8, 2005

Hopeless staring at the deep blue sea,
Feeling the warm wet breeze, clouds bathed
In purple, golden, bluish green while the-
Sun setting in blood red streams,

At last the days light fading, to cast-
Its shadowy dreamlike sinister trance,
To mer mortal men a time to reflect,
collect their thoughts of the day,
To some as me ti's an unholy fear,
of a deep slumber, alas no peace,

From dreams of past loves evil touch,
Of cold ruthless hands ripping my heart,
Bleeding and beating resting in her hand,
Cold and menacing eyes stabbing me,
with daggers of hate that love lost sent forth,

Oh, to only lapse into dreamless slumber,
Wretched mind left only to wander aimlessly,
Lo death be sooner than love killing me,
My eyes are slowly closing, love has
taken my soul-
My last labored breath bellowing out,
Oh merciful spirit, sweet slumber at last.
