Storm Inside Myself

The rain reminds me of all the tears I've shed
Falling down, collecting in a puddle beneath my feet
The rain reminds me of all the blood I've bled
Running freely down my arm, staining my skin

The stars remind me of the feelings deep inside
Lonely, and misunderstood, so alone in a dark wasteland
Wishing I could leave this world far behind
I don't want this pain I want it to fade away with my tears

The thunder reminds me of all the unheard screams
Crying out for someone to save me
Save me from all these haunting dreams
That drag me down to my knees

The lightning reminds me of what I've always wanted
To be free with no care in the world
To run free and not be so haunted
By pain and misery that just wont go away
