My Blood-stained Bear

by mookoo   Jan 8, 2005

Lying next to me is my companion,
My confidence after a bad dream,
My friend in bad times,
The one I cry to,
My teddy bear,
I lie still,
Never to move and break my peaceful stature,
This is how they found me,
Lying in stagnant blood, by my blood-stained bear,
I died a while ago.
Way before this,
Back when I took my bear everywhere,
I hugged it, played with it,
But it was never enough,
It always wanted more.
With every hug, it reaped me of my emotions,
Making my sadness go away,
I cried to it,
Time after time,
Unknowing of it’s purpose.
It started to take every thought,
I felt empty inside,
I could feel my heart beat,
But I felt nothing...
Dying everyday, under my bear’s spell.
Today was different,
My emotions weren’t enough,
It removed me of my pain, forever...
