Secret Love Story

by Amanda Sloan   Jan 10, 2005

I'm told that I'm not allowed to share these things
People mustn't know of this love we've been foretold
It must be kept a secret and for now we have to keep it
Our future is at stake
I will continue to wait for the day when finally i can show my love in this place
And not be afraid we'll be found out and disgraced
Because all i wish is for love's sweet bliss
The sweet kiss that will bring me forever with you

On the outside looking in people watch us pretend to be friends
On the inside looking out I wish to scream and let it out
That he is not for the taking
No other girl may have him because he's mine
I've spent years of my life fighting for us to stay alive
And not let our fire die
How could i just let someone else take him...he's mine
But this is all said in the quietness of my head
Because one tap could shatter the glass
And then the ties would come undone
And our story...
Well it would be a surprise ending
