Hide and Seek

On the day I acted selfish,

I hurt you pretty bad,

You ran away and hid from me,

But I did not mean to make you mad…

I have been searching for you everywhere,

Looking every day and night,

But there’s a voice that keeps telling me,

Where I’m looking isn’t right…

I searched in the tree,

I searched behind the door,

I searched for you until,

I felt I could search no more...

So I went to bed,

And prayed that night,

That I might find you,

In the place that was right…

Then something happened,

When I awoke the next day,

I could feel your presence,

And I knew it was okay…

You had forgiven me,

For the mistakes I made,

That’s when I realized,

Your love does not fade...
