You amaze me

I watched you the whole time
even while you were sleeping
i loved looking at you the whole day
you kept my heart from beating

you kept staring into my eyes
my heart just flew
your gentle green eyes amazed me
i couldn't help but stare back at you

why does God put you so far away
from the people you care about most
you are everything i want
your so far away but yet so close

i don't know if i should thank you or what
its been a while since i felt so smitten
I've been down and so numb for months
not one poem was written
