Shadowed Soul

by Dark Savior   Jan 10, 2005

He looks back, back into his past
where he went wrong music or gym class
he sits there staring on the t.v.
wonders is this really me

his eyes don't tear up on sad occasions
his life is meaningless without occupations

He watches the world pass through his hand
slipping through his fingers like hour-glass sand
his soul was there once, but now it's in reprimand
trying to take control he refuses to take a command

that was his first and last mistake he ever made
emotion spewed forth like a shrapnel grenade

hit until his life was taken from him, such a young age
it was like he was way back in the very first grade
beaten for what he stood up for, taken down a peg
he looks in dumpsters just so that he can be feed.

the man watches the rest of them giggle and laugh
as they drive their BMW's and fault their cash

he sits there silently in his room, watching all the lights flash
he watches all the woman go buy as all the people play grab ass
he was silent as he just sat there, this cold winters night
as he pulled the blankets tighter, wishing things were alright

He's all alone now in this cruel little world
life lessons learned by all those girls
they were his teachers, mothers, mentors
because they too had the same sort of sores

it may not be your truth or even mine
but why would you go through life so asinine
you know you don't need that car or that cash
so please just donate it, don't fault i and be an ass.

So now he sits there pretending things are so great.
but the first grade wasn't that long ago, this man is only eight.

*Please let me know what you think, this is one of my better poems i think. I really enjoyed writing this one, i put a lot into it. Anything good or bad you hve to say, would be greatly appreciated!*
