Magical Mystery Tour

Mystical light, the magic of night
Strange little people given to flight.
There’s colour and sound
Where happiness and love all abound,
All of it real if you just let yourself feel.
And hidden away from the bright light of day
Is the land of the mind, where if we try, we can find
Creatures so small and a whole lot more
Flitting and flying and having a ball.
A prince on a roach, butterflies pulling a coach
Singing and dancing, prancing around
All of them happy as they turn upside down.
There are birds there are grubs
There are gnomes in a tub
Hundreds of petals fall from above.
Rainbows add colour the moon shafts of light
All come together with amazing delight.
You can fly you can fall you can be in it all
You can win you can lose and you only must choose
To think with your heart and your mind
And somewhere in time you will gradually find
A world that only you know.
But as you explore be careful what’s more
That you don’t lose sight of what’s real,
For it’s easy to go and if you’re not careful you know
You might overstay your time.
And if you do, I’m warning you,
You’ll find there’s no way home.
So use this gift most sparingly
When in your bed at night,
Believe and trust,
and you might just,
Travel, there tonight.
