Bandit

by Swallowed by Death   Jan 11, 2005

Rushing emotions,
What did I do to deserve this?
My only true friend,
I'll never see again,
Sure he was a dog,
But he was all I had,
But You took him away,
The biggest part of me,
When I had nothing,
He knew.
He was there,
Even when no one else was.
Bandit was my baby,
My only friend,
But I'll never see him again.
People come and go,
But he stuck with me,
Now he's only in my mind.

This poem is dedicated to my dog bandit who was my only true friend growing up. My mom's ex took him and the other dogs when we left. I miss my puppy.... :(

Oh, I can relate. I had a dog named Bandit, too. He and my other dog helped me get through some really tough times. Then he was killed, and it hurt so much! I admire you for writingwhat you truly feel.
