Vampire\'s life

by Sinister Soire   Jan 11, 2005

The rain drops splattering while it rains
Each one drumming on the window panes
The loving families locked inside
Far away from the dark they hide

One remains out in the cold
He does not fit the common mold
The monster born he will remain
Taking torment as well as pain

The family prays, their blessings much
Before their blessed food they touch
He bites and rips for food to eat
Though all he eats is human meat

After rain and cloudy night
He retreats from solemn sight
The day resumes like all the rest
For him it’s mediocre, if all at best

He bids his day in starving shadow
Allergic to the sun, this fellow
May only feed in twilight time
Where for him the light’s sublime

He was at once the only one
But since then more have come
They remain in groups around the fire
That is the life of a vampire
