I need

I walk down these crowded halls

Shrouded by people who have it all

I see couple's who hug and give eachother a kiss

And i think to myself "How can I handle this?"

I wish I could be like them, with someone to love

Since it's been something I've always dreamed of

Love hurts so much is what I'm told

Then why do we want it until we grow old?

I don't need a prince charming

Or the star of the sports team

I just need someone who will be there for me when I need anything

I've read it in storybooks, and seen all the films

How much longer is it going to take?

Before that certain someone asks me out on a date?

I'm not asking for much

But I know it's a lot

I just want someone that I can call...my own.
