Grasping Tightly

by CRZY4ONE08   Jan 12, 2005

Confusion, spinning, blurring
With a mass of colors
Each more vibrant than the rest
In a daze, disoriented, dizzy
The whole world is spinning
With only one thing to focus on
You are as clear as day,
Even when the darkness envelops me
Holding my breath
Reaching for your touch
Grasping tightly, lest it fall
From my hand
But I held too tight
And you fall between my fingers
Like sand through the hourglass
Counting away the seconds
Beside my beating heart
As nothing else moves
And nothing else matters
