FAST FORWARD TWO MONTHS

"Annie! Hey wait up!" Ana spun around on her heels at the voice of her twin. "Yeah buddy?" she asked.
"Can you give me a ride to the hospital?" Ana gasped. "Why-You don't think that it is back do you?" Carson shook his shaggy black head. "Oh no-they just want to run some tests on me again. They didn't do a spinal last month...so now i have to get it done today. And, i know if you went home you would sit around and talk to Sebastien all day. And you can't do that, he has to work."
Ana grinned impishly, "I would never bother any one. What are you talking about Carson?"
he pushed her lightly. "Just take me." Ana stuck out her tongue at her older twin. Ever since they had
been adopted by Serb and Landon, their lives had changed drastically. They went from having absolutely nothing to having everything. They were doted upon like they really were the odd couples own kids. Ana was troubled though. They always did a spinal tap on Carson every 3 months. And he was not even scheduled for an appointment today. Something happened last time he went. She knew it. Carson just didn't want to tell her. She couldn't help but wonder what was up. She dropped him off at the hospital. She couldn't go in. Everything bad that had ever happened to her happened in a hospital. Carson being diagnosed with Leukemia...finding out that her parents would not live. Finding out that her little brother would only
survive if left on a respirator. but since they would be orphans the plug had to be pulled. She could not go in and handle another dose of bad news. Carson, what time do you need to be picked up?"
He shrugged, "I'll call you later when i need a ride." She shrugged, "You will call me if anything happens right?!" Carson just laughed and slammed the door behind him. he could not tell Ana that it wasn't that they needed him for a spinal. They needed him for more tests. They thought that the cancer might be back. He could not do that to Ana until he knew for sure that it was back. She would break. thinking back Carson remembered when their parents died, she suffered a mental break down and slumped into a quiet state. She was just getting much much better. He would call her when she needed to know if there was anything to know.
