Innocent Drug Victim

by Halston Mather   Jan 12, 2005

My friend thought that night
That it might be cool
To go to his first party
And to act a fool,
He was 16 years old
He had never gotten out
Tonight he was more bold
He didn't know he wouldn't wake up from passing out,
You see he was just having fun
Sitting there drinking Root Beer
Talking to the other people
And this time you couldn't help stare,
As this kid slipped something
Quite deadly in his drink
My friend would never wake up
This had pushed me to the brink,
I counld't get him up
Or at least make him breathe
Or show me some sign
That he was okay to leave,
My friend had been murdered
By an evil thing called Acid
And after my friends face turned pale
I could tell his body had..had it,
He was cold to the touch
And his eyes were completely glazed
As I look to the murderer
He showed no remorse on his face,
He said he shouldn't have drank it
He should've done something else
Well I will tell you what
There should have been more felt,
Because I don't remember
Just what happened after that
All I can recall happening
Is the sound of a breaking bat,
I saw blood on my hands
And I picked up my friend
He was now in the arms
Of someone he could depend,
To end this story right
My friend has been righted
Even though he has passed on
When I showed up in the murderer's room...he looked more than frightened.
