Crimson Regret

by Momentary Relapse   Jan 12, 2005

Blood pouring out of me
Each a wound of regret
Crimson betrayal falling
Staining the white coverlet

Blood will pour tonight
They will show my pain
Crimson rain will pour
And my pillow will stain

Falling back into bed
White clothes soaking by me
The betrayal stings deeply
Visible for all to see

Crimson betrayal pouring
Wounds of regret splashing
The pillow soaking up red
Life before eyes flashing

Laying in the widening pool
Hair snaking away
Face upturned to the ceiling
Pouring out the dismay

Unable to comprehend
Let it pour out red
Soaking the covers more
And drop onto the bed

One by one red drops
And from me blood will pour
Crimson the bed stained
Leaking to the floor

Body wounded deeply
Mind unable to cope
Crimson drops will rain
Leaving me without hope

White bedsheets soaked
By my hopeless life
Eyes closing from regret
Now escaping from this strife

Blood is ending tonight
Already showing the pain
Crimson drizzles now
The white sheets are stained

Crimson regret and betrayal
They no longer flow
Staining white red
It will no longer flow

Blood has stopped now
And so has the pain
The crimson is no more
And my life is slain
