My reality

by Ruby   Jan 12, 2005

Morning comes, I stay in bed,
I do not move, I am not dead.
I'm somewhere else, not in this world,
A place made up by this young girl.

Where no one else but me can be,
Because no body else can see,
The pain that I escape each night,
Each night when I turn out my light.

In my world there is no hate,
No one can change another's fate,
Your own fate is in your hands,
I guess you wouldn't understand.

So if I'm sad, I do not weep,
I simply close my eyes and sleep,
And take myself away from here,
Away from all the pain and fear.

I know that you should never know,
The place where every night I go,
But I want you to know what I go through,
I want to share my dreams with you.

So take my hand and hold on tight,
Together we will both take flight.
I'll be your guide in my world,
The world made up by this young girl.

I'm trying to get through to you,
There's not much more that I can do,
Because you're living in reality,
When I want you to be here with me.

I see you look into my eyes,
I hold you as you start to cry.
You see the hurt inside of me,
You understand, you finally see.

I can feel you breaking through,
As I look deep inside of you.
I see your pain, I should have known,
Now I know I'm not alone.

Now each time I say goodnight,
After I turn out my light,
There's something better, something new,
My special world is for you too.

You and me, we share it all,
The pain the hurt and the downfall.
But I am yours and you are mine,
And together we will get through fine.

Someday I'll find, my world will go,
Fly out of my mind, but still I know,
That even though our place is gone,
You and me will still go on.
