Adventuring Beyond the Grave

by mookoo   Jan 13, 2005

There is nothing for you to look at here,
Nothing for you to see,
Turn to look at me if you please,
I have the power of invisibility,

Unnoticed and forgotten,
And that’s how I shall remain,
For I shall never move again,
This is how I was lain,

Buried years and years ago,
Way before your time,
At the start of the cemetery,
All the way down the line,

I walk my path when the moon is full,
Adventuring beyond the grave,
Trying to find someone to tell,
I could have been saved,

I walk to you,
Frightened one,
Shimmering in the twilight,
Looking for someone,

Wishing I was real,
Lost in the dreams of present things,
I stand alone,
Do not be frightened when the phone rings,

It’s only the forgotten one,
Coming to say hello,
Maybe invite you to my residence,
Deep down, below...
