I would have told him I loved him If I knew that day was his last.

I would have held him close.. all through the night.. touched your face... making the love so right.

I would have kissed your lips, and whispered softly I love you into the night.. if I knew that was going to be our last night.

Now I will never get the chance to share my love, now your love belongs to the good man above.
