Thank You (Mom and Dad)

I want to thank you for teaching me;
how to love beyond what I see
to care when no one else will
to cry for the broken hearted
to be all I can be

I want to thank you for being there;
when dreams crashed down
when tear drops never seemed to end
when everyone seemed to walk away

I want to thank you for all the years;
of laughter
of smiles for 'tales' needed to be told
of hugs when I thought I needed none

I want to thank you for teaching me. . .
All I ever really need to know.
