Your hand

by Samantha lynn   Jan 14, 2005

You took my hand
and held it tight
when I was broken down
and cried all night.

you grabbed my waist
when a car came by
caught me for
you refuse to say goodbye.

held me close
when you had to leave
left a friendly kiss
on my blushing cheek.

entangled your fingers
in with my own
played with my class ring
a simple gesture so sweet and strong.

You've stayed by me side
holding my hand
keeping me safe
a friend to the end.

But somehow over time
through my heartbreak and tears
your comfort
your strength
lead me to loving you all these years.
