Mistaken Identity

by ♥-Sharon Ardern-♥   Jan 15, 2005

Crawling
Now instead
Of falling
Down almost dead.

This world here
So dark and bleak
Cringing with fear
My mind so weak

An outstretched hand
Bitten and taken back
They do not understand
That all my world is black

I have admitted
My sins to everyone
Suicide almost committed
Look what I have become!

One morbid phrase
Running through my head
Would you cry or praise
If I was found dead?

Was I just a project?
Something easy to discard
I can never forget;
I tried but found it too hard

I don’t know why I’m here
I don’t know why my head is screwed
I don’t know what causes my fear
Or this dark and depressed mood

All I know is I crawl
Meekly seeking support
All you do as I fall
Is see what I have to report

Well here’s the latest news:
I’ve had enough of everyone
Finding something in me to abuse
And I am going, because my life is done.
