Waiting Room

My whole life I known you,
All the moments we hold,
I sit in the waiting room,
Waiting for news of you.

You been in a car accident,
Which might take your life,
The memories of you and me,
Might all end tonight?

Tears filled my eyes the moment I heard of you,
I haven’t seen you yet,
The doctors won’t let me,
You were hurt so bad,
All day you have been in surgery.
The questions still rise,
Will you survive?

I though about all the times,
We flirted all night,
We were just a teenage girl and guy,
Having so many good times.

Tears hit the floor,
Because you might not breath anymore,
I stare at the floor,
Try to calm myself down.

When my name was called out loud,
I raise my head to see a doctor,
Standing right beside me,
My heart skipped a few beats.

Just hurry up and tell me the news,
She opened her mouth,
As the words “You can see him” feel out,
“He might not want to talk, he’s been through a lot,”

She led me to your room,
When I first saw you,
Cuts, bruises, and bandages,
Stitches, IV’s and machines,
With you in a bed,
But you lost all conscious.

I sat in the chair next to you,
As you slept I held your hand,
But you don’t even hold mine back,
Relieved to see you breath,
But so sadden by the scene,

Tears began to flow uncontrollably,
I cried so hard you could only hear me breath,
I struggle to breath in,
As I tried to calm my self down,

“I wasn’t ready to let you go,
I wanted you to live and grow old,
You are three years older then me,
Always looked out for me in need,
Always tried to help,
Please don’t leave me tonight,
I need you with me,
Right here by my side,
If you are gone,
There will be a hole in my life,
A hole in my heart,

You can’t leave me now,
Because I just realized,
You are the only guy that fills my heart,
My dear friend I live you so much,”
I said a loud,
And you grabbed my hand,
And woke up from your deep sleep.
