Pharaoh

by Elizabeth Ann   Jan 16, 2005

None of my other senses relief; after word has passed...an audience my old worshipers attend.

Hail the arisen King!

Glass replaces hidden doors and also represents their loyalty, once an old sinister ambition becoming a subtle evil, contending with aged laws and modified belief systems, raging from youth and elder alike after a spawned ignorance leaves them uneducated and cynical.

His Glory without end!

War matures into inexperience assuming tactics expired when their creators are long passed...their dead ingenuity still worshiped after exercised practices more often defined by retired generals. Left to join their heroes with nothing more to tell of their great civilizations replaced by terrorists bemusing nature while naming themselves guerillas.

Eternal his Dynasty!

Supernatural forces are replaced by science, and romance loves another logic pressing destiny once we’re hopeless by ignoring fate. Silence feeds our curious minds and as ever disappoints us when proven false. And intellectual ideals become enlightened curing hungry voids developed after myth glorifies fact.

His name out faith!

Mirth degrades to sarcasm and violence becomes us unsound. And for every age I’ve lived it has always been the same, with brand new players in life’s self-sufficient game. I’m born again to lead, but of what kingdom I have left? An unseen idea has become my legacy and my existence another pair of poems.

These words for you my old children...
“Children of light fade to darkness..
Blood of my blood driven stale.
Beg my forgiveness for my leniency
Never lived without me and whence I passed
For this life I won‘t last“.
~Life without Death

Well, prosy poetics would be the name, methinks. Regardless, I enjoyed this newest walk through an immortal's mind. And one so dear of ancient footfall to me and mine. Quite enjoyable, Elizabeth.

Perhaps I should have made a little Authors note. Very well...

Inspired by recent developements in my life of which shall remain vague. I've always been a supernatural buff to a degree, and I hover over immortals because I find that I'm good at it.

With confidence, better than many, and also confirmed by other respected opinions.

I suggest a different frame of mind. If you find that what you author more realistic or real world subjects, then might I politely suggest to skip over my work.

    Thank you for asking ;)
