Angels weep tears of Ash

by •Perpetual•Solitude•   Jan 16, 2005

Angels long
for the solitary life
an Angel's song
is all but strife

An angel's mind
is never quite her own
belonging she'll never find
misery in her bone

Forever she must wait
on the sidelines of joy
Destined to her fate
of never knowing her boy

Never will she find
her own special place
where she can explore her mind
even know her own face

A lifetime she must see
we mortals laugh and cry
wishing she knew how to be
one who was wishing they could fly

Never will she know
the joy of a thought
or not knowing anything
never having the chance to be taught

Angels long for the streets of earth
aching for the solitary avenue
or the story or her birth
or being allowed to know you

Angel's weep tears of ash
real emotion deprived of them
all their memories gone in a flash
the flower of their lives cut at the stem

Thats awesome, it really is. A couple of lines are a little inconsistent but then I dont care so why the hell am i pointing it out? Anyway back to the poem, the imagery is good, the rhyme pattern (though i didnt realise it went ABAB at the start i thought it was just ABCB) is really good and doesnt seem forced at all if that makes sense...
Anywho am adding you to my favs,
