The Water Lilly

by Mira   Jan 17, 2005

The water lilly yawns as the gentle breeze says goodbye
She watches the frogs leaping and hopping from lilly pad to lilly pad
They jump into the distance as she wanders
Not too far,
To see the pink sun say goodnight
As he brings a sheet of darkness
While she listens to the last lullaby of the white cranes' wings
