Its kind of funny
If you think about it.
I had all anyone could ever ask for
but was too blind to realize it.
I s'pose this is the downside
to being a dumbass.
That night I lost everything,
that meant anything to me.
I lost it, before I ever even had it.
How can I lose something
I hold so dear to me?
I began to search
search my memory,
search my thoughts.
Nowhere could I find
the answers to my questions.
I am not going to let it go.
I am not giving up.
I'm losing you.
I can feel time growing shorter.
Continuing my search,
It leads me to the past.
Why?
Is there something
there that calls out to be noticed?
Something I missed maybe?
All the past reminded me of is
Why I loved you in the first place.
However, it also brings up
yet more questions,
That are still to be answered.
Still I hear that call,
reminding me time is limited.
I hurry to search elsewhere...
The present,
where the problem lies,
Could what I lost be hiding here?
Both angered, and confused,
my present self has
only one thing to aid my search
That is the simple reminder,
of what this is all for.
Not wanting to wast
any more precious time,
My mind moves
to the final place I can look.
Mysterious, and uncertain,
The future, I fear the most.
What will become if I fail?
If I never find what I have lost?
Will I finally give up?
Will I accept that somethings
are just meant to be?
Realizing the future simply
adds more questions to my search,
I leave it immediately
before I am swallowed by it.
Time is still ticking away...
Having done my best
and still not finding what I lost,
surviving only on the
little hope still left in me,
I realize I cannot do it alone.
Just then, like an
Angel from heaven,
Help was given,
My eyes were opened to the truth
The answer did not lie
In the past, present, or future
But All
It was all in my mind,
I still have it.
It is still there.
For I have lost nothing,
except time.
Now I must hurry,
Before you slip away,
Right through my fingers,
Am I too late?
Have I missed my chance?
Only time can tell...
