Pretty Little Child

by Joanne   Jan 17, 2005

So lonely, yet so brave
Well worth the life her mother gave
A fair present of a daughter
a fair child of the future

Its not fair to judge a creature
You never knew that well

This all came so sudden, a year ago today
They tainted her with blood and smeared it in my face
Every second, every minute made my heart bleed and ache

Pretty little child, why couldn't i feel your cries?
And know you're laying there whilst your heart slowly dies

Why was it my daughter?
What did she do wrong?
Spent every Sunday at the alter
Why stop the angels song?

I only wish my last words to her were honest and true
But now I've lost the chance to say that "I love you"
I always have, I always will
Thats the way I'll always feel

Pretty little child you are safe where you have gone,
Pretty little child it was time for you to move on,
Pretty little child, please, watch over me.
I'll always remember, I'll never Forget you.
Love your ever caring daddy
