Feeling for weeks

Tears fall from my eyes,
down to my cheeks.
I cant believe I told you.
I have felt this way for weeks.
I knew it wouldn't have mattered.
How I felt or what I said
But I insisted on telling you,
Hoping,praying you felt the same.
I wasn't lucky, you told me you were in love with whats her name.
I couldn't believe it.
You were many of my firsts.
I thought in the end we'd end up together.
Maybe we will, but I cant wait forever.
We decided to be good friends.
So neither of us hurt each other
But every time I see you with her
I get hurt all over.
I wish we were together, more than just friends.
But we cant get what we want all the time.
My wishes and dreams, have all been shattered
Starting to think, Do I really matter?
