For Dad

I have a little story
But unfortunately its true
I tell it from my lips and heart
Its about the life and death of you

You didn't care for riches or gold
Everything you own was sold
To give a better life to those worse off then you
You were a person of inspiration and the best person i ever knew

It was like you knew your life would be short
As when you were a kid you played every sport
You took on every challenge
And anything you could manage

You lived life to the full
And a fuller life you had
Then many other people
How I miss you dad

You kissed me every night
and told me of your love
You shared with me your stories
And your belief in the heavens above

That’s how I know you are safe
Because of your belief and love
And of all those things you told me
The stories from above

My dad was a earth angel
And still lives in my heart
I don't care for riches and or gold
My dad taught me well from the start

I live my life in love
In faith and true spirit
I live life through my dad
I wrote him this poem and I hope each night he can hear it
