My Everything

by Marisa Lishay   Jan 18, 2005

In certain cases,
Apologies aren’t even necessary,
But in most cases,
It’s the thought that counts.

You’ve always been very reprimanding,
And never quite understanding.
Even though you gave me your heart, soul, everything.
You were my baby, my love, all there was to be,
Simply, quite wonderfully, you were my everything.

All that I’ve given you, heck, there wasn’t anything more,
Although you’ve shown me, undoubtedly, I wasn’t the perfect score.
I just want you to know one thing,
Throughout it all,
You have, and always WILL be… my everything.
