My inspiration

As I sit there looking at my knife
I think of u & your life
The one that u almost wasted
The one we cried to make u save it

I think about how everyday u had a frown
Cuz someone in your life had let u down
Then we’d say something funny and make u smile
And hope that you’ll keep it for a long while

Then go home to read one of your poems
Just to find out the last one was about suicide
I’d be thinking “Oh, no it’s over
She’s gonna stick that knife right through herself!”
Then do something I hardly did
I’d drop to my knees and start to pray
Hoping that I’ll see u tomorrow at school
For at least one more, happy day…..

Then when I’d get out of my daydreams
And find that knife still in my hand
I’d hide it far, far way
Telling myself “My life…I will never waste!”

So if it wasn’t for you I’d be gone by now
Only to see u from the sky above
So up to this very day
I need to tell u, that your my inspiration to stay alive!
