Anybody

Is there anybody out there?
I think I’m all alone.
No one bothers calling me,
On my telephone.
Would you even notice,
if I disappeared?
If I lost control,
And gave into all my fears.
Can anybody see me?
I’d really love to know.
It’s really, truly lonely,
To be completely unknown.
Can anybody see,
That I put on a face?
I can’t stand to look at myself,
I’m an absolute disgrace.
If I were to run,
Would anybody care?
Maybe if I left,
It would end the nightmare.
