Too Afraid

by !Chookie!   Jan 19, 2005

Sitting in a corner, afraid to close my eyes, you took the truth away from me, and filled that place with lies. My heart pounding, wishing to escape. The truth is still hidden and this nightmare; I’m yet to wake.

The glare from the sun hurts my eyes. So, hidden in the darkness is where I shall lie. Stretched out on the tiled floor where the sun can not see, the wooden boards I’ve placed up over the windows and then over there, in the corner is usually where I’ll be. No one else lives in this prison except my knife, maybe one day it’ll save me forever and take my life.
