Lost For Words

I choke, stutter, my mouth is hollow,
my tounge is gone.
I try to swallow but I can't.
You ask again and wait for a reply,
But nothing comes. Just silence passes by.
So I take a breath. I think it through.
I know it's there.
I know it's true.
But where are the words?
What happened to sound?
My voice has left me.
Here.
Right now.
And you are still watching me. A tear forming in your eye.
Please my Darling, I think. Please do not cry.
But you cannot hear me. I try, but I can't say.
With a last pleeding look, you turn.
Walk away.
Now we are apart.
And I am so alone without you.
