New Year...

A new day, a new year.
More pain, more fear.

It doesn’t matter; it’s all the same.
Never will it go, forever here it stay.

I am a coward to try, never succeed.
Always I fail, even if I do a good deed.

To live or not to live? The decision is mine alone.
But the answer—I do not know.

Do you understand? Is this confusing?
It’s hard to deal with all of this choosing.

The fireworks I hear, the celebration I see.
The excitement is buzzing, but not through me.

My lesson of the year: people never change
Unless they want to, but their nature is to betray.

My love is gone, somewhere it hides.
I feel so ashamed, alone on cold nights.

I’m afraid of the future; why do I stay?
A disappointment I am, still I try every way.

This is for you, the ones who stood by me.
Thank you, words are more than to see.

Sorry for worrying you, I have many breakdowns.
If you stay with me, maybe I will be found.

This is a new day, this is a new year.
Bring on the more pain and hide the fear.

    Your poem is great, I can relate to it alot, your words all seem to just fit.
    My fav. part is:

    I can really relate to that bit the most.
