Eternal Love

by RCM   Jan 20, 2005

Love and understanding
The sharing of one’s heart,
Hope, and joy and caring
These are where you start.
Add one part commitment
The truth, some faith and trust
Mix them all together with just a twinge of lust.

Place each other first in life then mellow that with years
Never let the world see more than all of this appears.
Try to give each other space, a little time alone,
Offer all the strength you have whenever they have none,
And give them praise when they do good, comfort, when they’re down,
Some tenderness when they need it most, and compassion when they don’t.
But mostly learn the others ways, then meld within their lives.
And somewhere in that happiness we’ll see it in your eyes.
