Just saying that I miss you doesn’t seem enough
And having said the words doesn’t show how tough
It is without you at a time like this.
But missing you I am and I can’t quite understand
Why this must be,
So much like windblown sand as it exits from my hand
You’re gone, and won’t come back to me.
Yes I remember when I held you in my arms
And you and life meant everything to me
And I cherished in your love.
No just to say I miss you doesn’t seem enough
And the words and all the feelings can’t express how tough
It is without you, especially at a time like this.
And what about the Christmas’s, and birthdays, there are lots of things I miss,
But you know what I find hardest, is I’ll never see you grow
And I’ll never be a part of, or ever get to go
To all those things a father should be part of.
No just saying that I miss you doesn’t seem enough.
