The Phony Professor

by Michael D Nalley   Jan 21, 2005

The prestigious professor proudly professes
Contradictions to the truth he rarely confesses
Neglecting the facts that to him are not known
Thinking would threaten his theoretical throne

For he is an authority on how we should think
It is written in stone, what he has written in ink
Questions that are tough, he does not care
Challenge authority; would anyone dare?

Faith is a virtue yet logic and reason rule
Rules of reason detract from a logical fool
We can become what we believe
Proud professors practice to deceive

Speaking forcefully and loud
Makes us all so very proud
Anything can be explained
Authority has been ordained

Humble questions help us grow
Know to profess what we know
Question the question with no answer
The phony professor is a romancer

Many romances have been listed
I am, therefore I have existed

Wow, you weaver of clever words you!...wordsmithery at it's best...nice one...a few odd syllables extra here and there..but mostly perfect.

Science has failed our world, but then so has other belief systems.

Beautiful, as always...sorry if it seems like I haven't been around much lately, had finals, no power, and many other things. But I'm glad to see your still writing wonderfully!
