Why doesn't anyone care
And why doesn't anyone give a damn
Such a small being in this big wide world
So small and unimportant
Why must you go through life unoticed and unknown
So many dream to make it big
They want to be remembered
But no matter what many still get forgotten
It's a mean, cruel world
People will do anything to get what they want
Killing and hurting people
Some have reasons while others none
Why must it be this way
You all ask why the suicide rate is on the rise
And why are so many people cutting
Why do they turn to self-harm
With no one to talk to
No where to turn
What else are they meant to do
People don't listen
They're selfish and unkind
There's no denying, we're all the same
We expect to get what we want
The expectations we put on ourselves too high
They can never be reached
Eating disorders, never ending unhappiness
We all feel it sometimes
But why
Why must the world be this way
Life feels like torture
Depression and suicide are common topics of conversation among teens
The world, look what it's become
