For Whitney

by Tanya, Mom of one.   Jan 22, 2005

She's really a good kid,
This I see.
The way her parents treat her,
Is a mystery to me.

She's in a group home now,
But I cant help but wonder why.
Why would you do this to a child?
What about her life?

No internet access on the weekends,
What is this? A prize?
You can only imagine,
The pain thats went thru this childs eyes.

I know she's seen alot,
From her poems I have read.
All kinds of hatred,
Running loose in her head.

Leave her alone for Christ's sake,
She's having it hard enough,
When she was a little girl,
She'd never dream it would be this tuff.

I hope and pray every day,
Its the least that I can do....
That things in the near future,
Finally get better for you.

She's a sweet girl that I met on line on this site. Check out her poems! She's seen too much for her age....I feel for her.
