REminisce~~~

Bizarre images fill my mind
Of your embrace and warm kiss
When you picked flowers fresh
How alone the nights were
And cloudy the days sky

Remember the night the storm united us
Remembered how your sweet heart hushed
Just a moment and I kissed your lip
You closed your eyes in response
It was cold, but we were warm
We held on tighter yet and on and on

The image remains still
Because it means much to my heart
It was a promise, a knot, unifying factor
It meant we will be together
While the world moves on
It meant we’ll stick and tighter
In the midst of storm and cold

Gone are those days
The little circle is broken, the nest empty
And am left to figure what went wrong
A new dawn is birth now
When it’s no longer kisses
But pecks and Hi’s across the street
Only God can tell when all this will end
While I reminisce and pout
