To ExCePt Is To DiE

So lost in this darkness
Hands numb and so cold
My head full of memories
So tiring and so very old

Feels I climb so high
Just to hit bottom again
I don’t want this, I don’t
Want to be forgotten again

I came, and you just left
I cried, you laughed in my face
I said I needed you more
You said we needed space

Just what am I doing here
Fighting what can’t be won
And when I think I know
This can’t be overcome

So lie down feet shaking, arms
So scarred, bleeding everywhere
This is me, yes this is me, excepting
Finally, that you just don’t care.

Let me go, God take me away
Everything I knew was a lie
And I see nothing in this darkness
And I just want to die.
